"I recently had the pleasure to contract with Hala for a complete landscaping consultation following the completion of a pool in our new build home. With a blank canvas, we were keen to get expert eyes to provide guidance and help us create a long term vision for the site.  Having a limited understanding of North Carolina growing conditions, particularly the extremes of summer, it was fantastic to be able to connect with someone who could guide me from start to finish. The initial consultation began before our site visit to discuss the scope of the project, particular challenges and plants that were of interest. Once onsite at our home, we continued to progress the conversation with a full site measurement and walk through. This allowed Hala to be able to see the site in full scope, looking at soil conditions, sun/shade areas and overall visualize the site relative to the house.  Her knowledge about the local flora/fauna is extensive!  She was able to guide me away from some plants I had thought might work in certain areas and instead re-direct me to suitable alternatives.  She not only created a detailed, easy to visualize design plan, but provided the full plant scope with anticipated maturity heights. This helps to ensure that as a novice gardener, I don't try to plant too much in an area, losing sight of the 5-10 year growth plan.  She even gave me specific plant sizes to provide to a nursery when sourcing the plants to ensure I would get the best possible look during initial planting.
